DUBLIN

DublinDublin is a city that you can feel buzzing. The region is riding high on the crest of Ireland's economic boom and its effects are to be seen everywhere, from its frantic night life to a skyline filled with cranes. Dublin has a fascinating and colorful history some of which you can learn about by taking a tour of Dublin Castle. Dublin is also the birthplace of some of the world's most famous writers including WB Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, and Johnathon Swift to name but a few. Dublin is also home to U2, the band that made Irish music famous worldwide. The region also contains Ireland's newest counties of Dun Laoghaire / Rathdown and Fingal. Of course we will never really consider them counties, until they have their own football teams! Whatever your interests, there is something for you in Dublin city, from a peaceful walk in beautiful St. Stephen's Green to a walk along historic O' Connell Street, from Dublin Zoo, situated in the Phoenix Park to theaters which host fantastic performances almost every night. Or maybe you'd just like to sit and watch the busy world go by while you enjoy a drink in one of Dublin's friendly pubs. Whatever you decide to do, one thing you can be sure of is that you'll receive a genuine Irish welcome wherever you go.
