Royal County Down Golf Course
This
is perhaps the most beautiful course in Ireland. Catch it on the day at the right
time and you may even think you are on the moon.
The Royal County Down is a links course with a sea of small crater-like
bunkers and small dunes. Actually for better players every day is
the right one. Harry Vardon labelled it one of the toughest courses
on the Emerald Isle: if you can not hit your driver long and straight,
you might find it the hardest course in the world. It's a true masterpiece.
Visitors are welcome, Tuesdays, Thursdays
and Fridays. If you require a caddy please give advance notice.
