Old Head of Kinsale Golf Course

This Golf course sits on the narrow Old Head of Kinsale, a few miles from the town of Kinsale, Ireland's Gourmet capital. It is a remarkable location for a golf course with 8 of its holes playing along the clifftops a couple of hundred feet above the Atlantic Ocean. The spectacular location can only be rivalled by the top US courses of Cypress Point and Pebble Beach. Such is the changeability of the prevailing Atlantic winds that each hole has six to eight tees which are changed daily to allow for the wind conditions. A par 3 that plays a nine iron today could very well require a three iron tomorrow. Though it is only opened since June 1997, it is already being regarded as one of Ireland's finest courses.
    Golf Handicaps must be received by the Club no later than 30 days before scheduled date of play. Maximum handicap requirements are: Ladies 36 / Gentlemen 24. All golfers will be asked to present a current handicap certificate from their home club when checking in. Metal spikes are prohibited.
