Galgorm Castle Golf Club
History is evident everywhere while playing the course. Built in 1618, the Jacobean castle dominates the entire golf course. However, there are other monuments to remind people of the historical significance of the area. The 10th green is overlooked by Rory Óg McQuillan Castle and a network of underground passages are present at the fifth and eighth green. The parkland track has four par fives, ten par fours and four par threes with each hole having a special character. The greens are all more than 500 square metres. The 6800 yds par 72 course is constructed to the highest standards, with all tees and greens built to USPGA specifications. The course has been designed magnificently, perfectly incorporating the natural features, the most impressive of which is the oxbow feature on one of two rivers on the course. Also within the complex is the driving range as well as the excellent Pavillion. Accommodating the golf shop, changing rooms and relaxation area, it is also home to a wonderful bar and restaurant.
