The road winds along the River Lee and the West Cork coast, where the salt-sea
air battles with the scent from the bracken and wild flowers. This tour starts
in Cork city and finishes in Kinsale.

Note: This tour is also available as an Individual or Self-led tour, starting
any day except Saturday.
DAY 1 (Saturday) Arrival
Meeting in the centre of Cork citywith the tour guide and the rest of the group
for briefing and get-together dinner.
DAY 2 (Sunday) Gougane Barra
Follw a backroad along the entire course of the River Lee to your hotel in the
beautiful valley of Gougane Barra.
DAY 3 (Monday) Sheep's Head
Head South to the unspoilt Sheep's Head Peninsula to stay in a farmhouse close
to the waterfront village of Ahakista.
DAY 4 (Tuesday) Mizen Peninsula
Cycle onto the Mizen Peninsula in the morning. After lunch, you can either cycle
the coast road or take a ferry across Roaring Water Bay (it is usually quite calm!)
to visit Sherkin Island with a further ferry ride to Baltimore.
DAY 5 (Wednesday) Rest Day - Baltimore
Explore the fishing harbour of Baltimore, the surrounding countryside and some
of the nearby islands.
DAY 6 (Thursday) Clonakilty
Cycle on, hugging the West Cork coast, as far as Clonakilty, a frequent category
winner in the national Tidy Towns competition.
DAY 7 (Friday) Kinsale
The coast road leads to Timoleague for lunch and a visit to the old Franciscan
Friary. Stay on the coast road as far as the historic town of Kinsale, a gourmet's
delight.
DAY 8 (Saturday) Departure
The tour finishes with a final breakfast together.
