Medieval South East Ireland
 

Explore the beautiful southeast corner of Ireland. This is an area rich in medieval heritage, stunning scenery and gentle coastline. Quieter than other parts of Ireland, with a labyrinth of unexplored backroads. A favourite destination for Irish holiday-makers.

DAY 1 (Saturday) Arrival
Meeting in the centre of Wexford with the tour guide and the rest of the group for briefing. Transfer to the village of Kilmore Quay for the first night and get-together dinner.

DAY 2 (Sunday) Coast and Arthurstown
Start the cycle by heading along the coast to the seaside village of Arthurstown.

DAY 3 (Monday) Dungarvan
The day begins with a ferry across to Passage East. Cycle further along the beautiful souther coastline to the town of Dungarvan.

DAY 4 (Tuesday) Youghal and Lismore
Continue along the coast to the town of Youghal for lunch. In the afternoon, follow the Blackwater River to the historic town of Lismore for a 2 night stay.

DAY 5 (Wednesday) Rest Day - Lismore
From your comfortable hotel in the centre of Lismore, visit some of the many historic sites in the area.

DAY 6 (Thursday) Glen of Aherlow and Tipperary
Head north over the stunning Knockmealdown Mountains into County Tipperary and the Glen of Aherlow.

DAY 7 (Friday) Kilkenny
The routes passes the Rock of Cashel on the way to the historic city of Kilkenny for a last night together.

DAY 8 (Saturday) Departure
The tour finishes in Kilkenny with a final breakfast together.
