The Derry Air Cycle Tour
 

Circle around the lovely backroads and villages of the Glens of Antrim and then follow the spectacular seashore by the Giant's Causeway.

DAY 1 (Saturday) Arrival
The tour will meet in a central hotel in Belfast city centre. After an introductory talk from the guide, an evening meal is organised in the Hotel, while your luggage is transported to the guesthouses.
Having later checked into your B&B you might decide to return to the centre of the town for a quiet drink in one of the lively local pubs.

DAY 2 (Sunday) Sustrans Cycle Path
Setting out on a Sustrans Cycle path, there is a lovely cycle out of Belfast up onto the beginning of the Northern Coastline to the village of Carnlough for the night

DAY 3 (Monday) Cushendal
We keep to the coast up to the the village of Cushendal, taking in some of the Glens of Antrim, including Glenariff Forest Park which is a beautiful spot for lunch.

DAY 4 (Tuesday) Glens of Antrim
Cushendall is prefectly located for visiting the famous Glens of Antrim including Glenaan and Glendun.

DAY 5 (Wednesday) Torr Head
There is a hilly but short cycle all the way along the coast via Torr Head to the village of Ballycastle where you stay for two days.

DAY 6 (Thursday) Rest Day - Ballycastle
One attractive option on the rest day is to take the ferry to explore Rathlin Island , which is some five miles out in the Atlantic.

DAY 7 (Friday) Derry
You cycle along the coast, via the famous Carrickarede Rope Bridge, to view the hexagonal rock formations at the Giants Causeway. You head from there to the village of Bushmills where you can visit the famous Whiskey distillery. Later in the afternoon, you head into Coleraine and the guide will take the bikes. There is a transfer back to Belfast for a final night together

DAY 8 (Saturday) Departure
The tour finishes with a final breakfast together.
